In My Garden: April Showers Bring May Flowers {we hope!}
I was hanging out with my girls the other day,
and the resident husband of the house said to me,
‘Wow, you have a lot of hobbies.’
Yep. How does it go … ‘jack of many’ …
However, gardening — dear friends — is my most favorite pastime.
This is probably why I agreed to move further from my fave city —
more backyard space …

I mostly stuck to herbs and veggies this year.
Some years I am all flowers …
this year is all deliciously fragrant greens!
Thyme, dill, basil, tomatoes, strawberries, parley,
peppermint, lettuce, lavender, chives, oregano! Oh Boy!

I ended up having to lock Frank out of the garden.
He kept trying to eat the dill!!
Can dogs eat dill? Or basil? SOS dog folks …

Frank started to pout after I wouldn’t let him inside …
but after a while though he rolled over, got a tan & snoozed.

Hopefully I will be eating home-grown meals soon!

Barking Big News!
Frank and I are sponsoring our first event!
We are helping provide car tags for the
EastCoast .:R32 4th Annual TOD Event
Need Clarification? {don’t feel bad … I usually do too}
- TOD: Tail of the Dragon, a mountain in Deal’s Gap, North Carolina with 318 curves in 11 miles.
- R32: A VW race car that my husband loves almost as much as he does me — some days more.
- EastCoast .:R32: A group of VW enthusiasts; there are going to be about 100 of them participating in this event!
- Dramamine: A anti-nausea drug; I will be taking a lot of this on the trip; I have the family pack.
- Car Tag: A sticker placed on the back of the car so people know who is driving; helps match the car with the driver with the ‘forum’ screen name. {see below}
- ‘Wookies in the Woods’: a description of the way the R32 car engine sounds, i.e. like a Star Wars Wookiee. If you know me personally, my husband says I do an excellent impersonation of this and would be glad to demonstrate further.
Fun, huh!
We will be cruising the Dragon for a long weekend …
but hopefully we will be back to you all on Monday,
safe, un-dented, happy, and full of pics!
