Putting the ‘o’ in Coco
I am a Chanel lover. I love the woman, the brand, the perfume, the jewelry.
I would be decked head to toe {if it was affordable}
I have read multiple Coco bios.
I watch all the movies.
With that said …
I am going on record here with something a little controversial.
I was so disappointed in the latest Paris show pics.
Of course, I only saw the pics via The Cut,
and maybe something was lost in translation,
But I can almost hear Coco say ‘come on Karl!’
It just doesn’t seem Chanel.
Umm, this could be called … ‘Wookie chic’ … ?!?!?!
Totally makes me want to get out my husband’s light saber.
Now don’t get me wrong. It is imaginative.
And in some ways I love it.
I love it because I am an artist & appreciate all art.
And the collection sure is whimsical, furry, funny …
Fashion is commonly a little ‘out there’ …
but this is totally unwearable. Except this one which I love.
In my humble, common girl opinion
Karl’s recent collections just seem like such a departure
from the class & charm of dear old Mademoiselle Coco.
Blasphemy — I know. {sigh}
Thoughts?

Stripes, Cotton Candy, & Beer
Birthday parties call for bold, bright colors …
esp. a first birthday party!
I recently purchased this striped sweater
{on sale because it was ‘out of season’ — woot! Score!}
and figured it would be perfect for the event.
I have to say I am love love loving it.
I feel put together and friendly,
without feeling constricted and uncomfortable.
