TRUTH: I don't really enjoy chocolate.

I do love chocolate of the vanilla variety,

but I am told again & again by friends & foes,

white chocolate is basically sugar & not cacao.

But - this cake is the exception ...

WOWZY! I could eat this until I vomit.

And it has Guinness in it

- a beer that I NEVER drink b/c it is too milkshake -

but let me tell you ... Amazing. Yum yum in my tum tum.

A little something about me ...

Everyday {at around 3.30} I need a snack.

These little babies are my usual snacks of choice.

Turns out I like RED snack foods.

And I need to work on eating healthier.

At least when I am working @ home I share with Frank.

He especially loves the oreo's ...

he eats the cookie; me the cream.

Vanilla Cream Pie Smile

I bought this instant pie filling because - well - I liked the packaging. I just ♥ that vintage feel. And I am a pro-vanilla girl ... It was a basic, easy recipe with a homemade Graham Cracker Crust {with the little change that I mixed choco&vani grahams} and then the McNess packaged filling. Maybe I need to try filling that is more homemade. Any suggestions out there?

OVERALL: 'a little too jello' {according to my husband}

The crust was yummy though!

Ever since we moved into our new place, my husband has been a cooking manic! I feel like I am in a restaurant. And I LOVE IT! ♥ The other night I asked him to make Avocado Soup. Why would I want cold soup in winter? Well, that's just me. {I love ice cream in the cold and snow, too.} And my husband was fine with it because he got to use our new wedding food processor. This recipe {found via Emeril} is definetly NOT low-fat. See the half & half being added above ... ... And I was a little wary when we were instructed to add lime juice to sour cream. It made me worry that this recipe may end up hurting my tum-tum. But once we started ladling it into bowls and I could smell all that yummy avocadoness - I felt much more confident and hungry. Let me tell you - this soup is REALLY good and totally satisfying. We decided to add bacon in addition to the lime cream when finishing off the dish - because in my house we believe bacon makes everything better.
