{Scarf Envy}

Wealthy people are all about ‘basics’ — clothes that cost a ton but can be worn through multiple seasons and go with everything. People like me {i.e. poorer and bending down to pick up every rogue penny in the street} extoll the virtues of accessories. Basically, because that is how I can make my discount jeans and 10 year old t-shirt look like new. So, after watching Confessions of a Shopaholic a la my new Netflix subscription, I am ALL about scarfs. {PS> This movie is cute — not trite like I originally feared. It is a feel-good, laugh out-loud, cover your face and shriek in embarrassment, bucket of 104 min. fun.}

Now. of course Becca Bloomwood nee Isla, is wearing name brand everything with her little ole scarf …

But around her neck or on her fiery head — she looks fab. And I for one plan on trying out my scarf looks. Since I have tonssssss …

My So-Called Blog

I feel like Angela Chase in my new scarf and short hair cut!
♥♡♥ Happy February ♥♡♥

School is a battlefield for your heart. So when Rayanne Graff
told me my hair was holding me back, I had to listen.
Cause she wasn’t just talking about my hair.
She was talking about my life.

Speaking of accessories …

… hats rock my world.
I must have been the Mad Hatter in a past life.
I mean it …

Amazing-ness via Weardrobe. You look hot-t Samantha.

The Sartorialist is a forever genius. And this dame is adorable!

Sarah’s posted pic makes me wish for sunshine among other things.

Not a conventional hat — but still fabulous — via Stockholm Streetstyle

Some of my hats, and believe me I have tooooooo many!

Now folks here is a tough question about hat etiquette.
I say they are part of an outfit …
… And it is acceptable for a lady to wear hers at dinner.
My husband strongly disagrees.

… a ‘brooch’ for all seasons.

Brooches — glam or grandmotherly? Modern or mundane? Sunny or Funny? Tacky or Terrific?

I am pro-pin. But then again most of my friends do not hesitate to call me eccentric. Is a brooch still a way to add flair? Or a trend quickly heading to the trash heap? Thoughts?

PS> I think it is here to stay & if you agree that adorable little daisy brooch is for sale at my etsy shop.

‘watch’ing me ‘watch’ing you

What time is it? … Oh, ladies and gents it is multiple watch time. I first saw this trend in some other blogs, etc. … but-tttt …

… well when I wear it, fellow employees at my office look at me funny. And even ask me what if there is something wrong with me or my watches. I personally love the trend. I like accessories {and life} in excess. You?

Thoughts?

Big Rings — Class or Trash?

Lately I only wear big rings. I usually try to restrain myself to wearing them one at a time — one hand only — in order not to look too tawdry {showy but cheap and of poor quality}.

I am just in ♥ with cocktail rings. The bigger the better. I am totally crushing on this one right now — and plan to buy it as soon as it is back in stock. Hot, right? … Right? … Riiiigghhhht????
