Wednesday March 24th, 2010 15:09 Isn’t she charming? Don’t you just want to be her best friend? … I do!

I have to say I am not normally a fan of J.Love Hewitt.
I don’t watch her shows. Or follow her in tabloids.
… But she is just so adorable here.
She is honest, funny, and all around charming.
Maybe I relate to her because she reminds me of one of my buddies?

Do you see it?!?!?  Right?!?!
Except I love Laura’s hair tons more …
Anyways. I prob still won’t buy her book.
But I might read it if someone else had it & lent it.

Wearing tons & tons & tons of layers.
I love it … why wear one shirt when you can wear three?
My husband & the washing machine complain.

Tuesday March 23rd, 2010 04:01 Confession #653

TRUTH: I don’t really enjoy chocolate.
I do love chocolate of the vanilla variety,
but I am told again & again by friends & foes,
white chocolate is basically sugar & not cacao.
But — this cake is the exception …
WOWZY! I could eat this until I vomit.
And it has Guinness in it
- a beer that I NEVER drink b/c it is too milkshake —
but let me tell you … Amazing. Yum yum in my tum tum.
Find the entire recipe here or here.

Monday March 22nd, 2010 10:56 Fashion forward or Fashion faux pas?

The comment I hear most about my outfits:
I would never think to put those colors/patterns/etc together
{… but at times I may go too far; don’t we all?}

This is a very simple dress — all one piece.
It fit terrific, and I loved it …
But I didn’t want it to be boring.
So, I added the pop of yellow,
in the shoes, bag and bangles.
Too much?

Friday March 19th, 2010 14:54 Newest guilty pleasure {and I make no apologies for it!}

Do you happen to know who the dashing blond on the right is?

No? You must not be a socialite.
I know I’m not.
But thanks to the CW — I now know this is dear Tinsley.
And she hangs out with some of the most obnoxious people on the planet.
NO exaggeration.
It is called ‘High Society’.
And while it is no classic a la the Frankie Sinatra gem below …

Let me tell you — it is definitely amusing.
Have you ever watched this gem?

I mean what are these people thinking!
Why, why, why {!!!!}
if you don’t need a paycheck,
would you embarrases yourself in this way.
And why can’t the CW make this an hour long show.
Because although I do not own any name brand purses,
will never afford a pair of jimmy choos,
or be invited to any of these fancy pants soirées,
I will never stop laughing at the lengths these people
— people who already have ‘everything’ -
go to become famous.
The society world is best described in these words from Tinsley’s ex:

“It’s not necessarily the type of goal that anybody should strive for, going out every night for the sake of self-promotion and getting their pictures taken,” Mr. Mortimer said {via NYTimes}. “And I mean, these are girls who went to good colleges. You would think they’d have something better to do … I’m just saying, when you live for the show of it, you live with an audience.”
Wow. Watch it. It will amuse …
